Vanessa Rosa

"Develops research on algorithmic images and traditional patterns."

Vanessa Rosa (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1990) graduated in 2012 in Art History at UERJ.

In 2009 he started working with urban art. He began his work developing a project in which he painted characters, on a human scale, that had a connection with the history of the place chosen for the intervention.

The artist creates projects that mix public art, community activities, technological experiments and historical research, generally using painting as the main means of communication. Currently, he has been carrying out research on algorithmic images and traditional patterns.

His main exhibitions include: "Nhandepa", Museum of Image and Sound, São Paulo, Brazil (2019); "Ethnocomputing Experiments", Pioneer Works, New York, USA (2018); "Imaginary Tiles", B[x] space, Bushwick, NYC, USA (2017), among others.
